It is made from an old Chicken Coop that was moved to its current location.

I can image it is a fun place to spend time over dinner on warm summer nights.

Portraits of big subjects

A few examples of portraits I have been working on of Equine subjects. These where both shot inside in an indoor riding facility. The ambient light was fairly low and not a factor in the final lighting . There is a lighting diagram below, I used two strobes. The last image is slightly different, in that I flip flopped the setup to shoot the subject from the other side. The first few pops of the strobe are the real test to see if the animal will be spooked by the light.

We have had alot more snow than usual this year with white stuff on the ground for extended periods. Its getting old! Not the norm for 'It rarely snows Philly'. Anyway while doing image file backup I came upon these images, which gave me hope and longing for all that comes with summer. It will be that much sweeter this year!

A few images from a reenactment I shot this past November. The participants are incredibly dedicated. I guess I'm intrigued and drawn to the tradition. No plastic here, alot of cotton and wool. It is kinda cool the effort that goes into making it painstakingly accurate.

Hiked into this location on private land, in central NY. Rock wall on three sides with falls in the middle, dramatic spot. We had a good day. The models Mike and Jen, who we have done a Nalgene shoot with before, were great.
